Here's a handy chart for those new to Writer Twitter. https://twitter.com/MorganAlMoor/status/1350617012578385921
If you’re new around here you should know that bad takes on Book Twitter follow a strict calendar. Let me help you out:
Disney + has these super cute little mini docs. On one, a Pixar script supervisor is talking about how she noticed that their movies were heavily weighted towards more male characters, and male characters having more lines...

Once-upon-a-time I was walking in the woods.
I rounded the corner (of a bush) and stood face to face with this.
We both ran.
I stopped for small trees.
It did not.
Open for a surprise.
I regret that I never wrote fanfic.
I *did* write (for credit!) a study of the kinship systems of three different fantasy novels though, and that’s got to count for something. :).

Stunning shot. Hey what a weekend, ey?
For some bizarre reason there is water falling from the sky here in California. Is that this “rain” that you speak of? Please reply quickly: people are in a bit of a panic here. :~)
I’ve visited Bellingham and the reservation and had both be lovely places to visit, but when I lived in Tacoma, the weather contributed a lot toward making me miserable living there (also the lack of Southern food in restaurants). It was grey, grey, grey, and usually raining in a way that required you move through it to really get damp. The saving graces for me were the Steilacoom ferry dock area right down the street and my regular trips to Point Defiance.
John Poteet Whatever you do, don’t drive while anyone else is!
Marla Caldwell We’ll see how I do. So far so good, but I haven’t been through the winter. The ocean helps a lot. The view is good any kind of weather.
I spent two years commuting to Bellevue from Boston. Once a month for a week, then two weeks a month. I survived that okay.
Kee Hinckley hopefully you’ll do all right. You’re already accustomed to the lower light of higher latitudes, which should help. I think it not being Tacoma might help, too.
Marla Caldwell Yes. I haven’t seen any southern restaurants though. Although we just got an EW BBQ place nearby. Lot’s of Mexican though, which was pleasantly unexpected. Mainly right now we’re reveling in being able to cook so much using local produce. Everything from the grains in my cereal to the gin :).
Kee Hinckley the closest I found was a restaurant called Home Place that was part of a small chain. I don’t know if it still exists, but might be worth looking for. At the time (1990-91), there were few Mexicans in the area and no Mexican restaurants up to the standards I was used to in Atlanta, so I’m glad to hear the area has diversified in that way too.
Local produce and weekend farmer’s markets up in Bellingham area were definitely a highlight, among with the views of Puget Sound.
I just searched for southern food locally and Foursquare recommended….Popeyes.
Oh dear. That’s… not a good sign.
No. not at all.
On the plus side, you should be able to find jojos around there. They’re tasty.
