Readability on the web is getting worse. The move towards smaller fonts and lower contrast is particular bad for older audiences.

And I’m sure the average age of developers and designers at major tech companies (overwhelmingly under 30) is a big factor in not being sensitive to bad design (low contrast or small fonts).
Once someone chooses text and background colors on the same side of a mid-tone, increasing the contrast setting for the display will actually decrease the contrast. smh 🙁
My solutions, most costly to least:
1. Keep buying bigger displays
2. Install SwitchResX and scale up your display (Mac)
3. Struggle with ⌘+ and ctrl-scroll-up
4. Have OSX or Android read it aloud to me
