Is there some way to get my Apple ID put on a “do not fucking reset” list?
This is not my iCloud ID tied to the phone, it’s the ID we use for family purchase of music and apps. We set it up long before the iPhone and there’s no good way to switch it to a phone-locked ID.
I switched it to two-factor auth last year in the hope that would help, but it doesn’t at all. It’s not the 2-factor used for iCloud accounts, where you can reject an attempt when someone makes it. It just means I’ve now had to memorize my recovery key.
I’ve had to use my recovery key to unlock my account every day this week. Every damned morning I wake up and some fucking idiot has either tried too many passwords or in the latest case contacted Apple support in an attempt to recover an account that isn’t theirs. It’s a royal pain. My family is ready to kill me. Because every time I recover the account, every device we have has to reenter the password. Basically it’s become a denial of service attack.
